Meranne Behrends

Meranne works at MullenLowe, to help strategically guide their clients to reach their business goals. The majority of her time is spent working with the Royal Caribbean International Marketing team. 

She spent two years at The VIA Agency in Portland, where she was tapped to help build the agency’s Planning Department and, as Group Planning Director, ledStrategy on businesses like Klondike, L.L.Bean, Sam’s Club, Three Olives, 1800, and People’s United Bank. 

Prior to VIA, Meranne spent a decade in New York City working on travel/tourism brands. At Wieden+Kennedy, she guided Delta Airlines through master brand Keep Climbing work, innovation and award-winning safety videos. Before W+K, she was at Taxi leading investor relations work for Bombardier. And while at Deutsch/Lowe she helped drive visitation to Aruba with the Aruba Tourism Authority.

Aside from travel and tourism brands, she’s worked for financial institutions (Capital One Bank, People’s United), spirits/beverage companies (got milk?, Southern Comfort, Bombay Sapphire) and plenty of CPG brands (Revlon, P&G and Unilever). Her work’s been twice honored by the Effies (Aruba, got milk?) and won her Delta CMO a Brand Genius award.

Meranne has her undergraduate degree from Adelphi University and her Masters from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was born and raised in New Hampshire, played D1 basketball, loves cooking and, if she could, would spend every dime traveling to every corner of the earth.

Happy Place: Maine. Duh.

Why Maine: I was no longer doing the things that made me happy living in NYC. Maine was always mine and my husbands happy place. Moved to Maine. Now do happy things.
